The New York Islanders have traded Thomas Vanek to the Montreal Canadiens for a 2014 second round pick and Sebastien Collberg. This is another clear cut failure by the organization and a swift kick to the groin of this passionate fan base.

It's up to you Islander fans; you need to send a message. This team deserves your boycott. They deserve to play in front of an empty building. In my opinion this management doesn't deserve the love that you show this hockey team. They are lying to you and they are lying to themselves.

The entire staff from the owner to the coaching staff needs to be removed. What Garth Snow brought back for Thomas Vanek is the type of return that you should lose your job over. It's really that simple.

You fans deserve more. The entire league realizes this. Long Island is not a cheap place to live; you all have limited income. I am urging you to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Do not spend it on people who continue to disappoint you. At this point the Islanders' brass resembles Chris Brown and the fan base is Rihanna and you keep "bumping" into things. Please send a message do no go to the games, stand outside the building with signs, pitch forks and torches. I can only think of the quote from the Princess Bride; "Have fun storming the castle boys!"
