QUICK HITS: JULY 25, 2017

1) The 41st annual Flyers Wives Carnival will be held at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, November 19 (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Carnival admission is $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets for children under the age of two are free. Parking inside the Wells Fargo Center complex will be free.

2) The 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase will be held July 29 to August 5, featuring Team USA White and Team USA Blue (later combined into a single squad), Canada White and Canada Red (also later combined into a single squad) Sweden and Finland. The games of August 2 to Aug 5 will be televised on NHL Network while the July 29 to August 1 games will be streamed at HockeyTV.com. Two Flyers prospects -- Canadian goaltender Carter Hart and Swedish defenseman Linus Högberg -- are expected to participate. Nolan Patrick is invited to play for Canada but will not be ready to do so.

3) Flyers 2017 third-round pick Kirill Ustimenko has made the Russian senior B team for the Sochi Hockey Open in August. He is the youngest player on the team. Ustimenko is likely to serve as the third-string goaltender behind Igor Shestyorkin (SKA Saint Petersburg) and Vladislav Sukhachyov (Traktor Chelyabinsk).

4) On Wed. August 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Flyers Hall of Fame left winger Brian Propp will be hosting a meet-and-greet fundraiser at Spavia Day Spa in Moorestown, NJ. Proceeds will go to TBI Angel; a charity that provides support for victims of traumatic brain injuries.
