There is much being written today about the Preds current ownership deal that has not yet been struck with the Mayor. This is a serious situation, but at this point it is not dire I am told. Compared to other situations the Preds fans have been through this isn't even close. This team in this city has already escaped the grip of death on a few occasions...Bigger grips than this one...I will have more on this shortly...

The Rangers are VERY interested in Jovonavski still, and there are talks that could send Montoya, plus two younger roster players to Phoenix in a deal where cap numbers would essentially cancel out...

There is also talk that the Canucks are once again talking to a Southeastern team about a scoring player for one of the big three d. Looking for specifics, of course...The Canucks also have interest in Gilbert Brule (e2) I am told...
