It's always a great day for hockey, but when it comes to a game 7...it's a great day at your favorite place in the world!
Tonight The Leafs and Bruins will finish the first round puzzle for all of us to see...and what comes next for one team is a trip to Florida while the other team plays the "what to fix game..."
If the Bruins lose...
I am told the goaltending will be examined closer on the ice, as there are beginning to be some doubts surrounding Rask's play...personally, that feels like the team is making Rask a scapegoat if true...The Bruins have over achieved on all fronts...Most had them as a bubble team, and very few saw them competing near the top of the NHL... And yet management didn't see this as an over achievement at all when they put some serious future assets into a rental in Nash...and you KNOW the people who run the Bruins are hoping they move on to give a little more time and Nash another chance to justify the deal...
If the Leafs lose...
The entire summer will be about getting better defensively...The Leafs are relying way too much on too few defenders...at least one of whom is too old to be logging these kids of minutes...The Leafs can score, although I am sure we will hear Auston Matthews wasn't 100% and the JvR craziness....well there is a whole blog there.
What's the Buzz?
Who do you think wins tonight?
What do you think these teams need to do to improve this summer?
