Pavel Datsyuk had some interesting things to say about players who play his style of game: https://t.co/gXgHmjiJ8P

“There are not many creative players now,” Datsyuk said after Team Russia’s World Cup of Hockey practice Sunday at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry. “It’s less and less every year. There’s lots of talent, but teams are playing more systems.”
Told of Crosby’s admiration for his game, Datsyuk seemed taken aback and expressed honest appreciation before offering his feelings on Crosby.
“I respect him, too,” said Datsyuk, who has 314 career goals and 918 points in 953 NHL games. “When I look at him, he’s not a big guy, but he really competes. He finds spots to score. He doesn’t ever give up and he finishes every shift.”
I Spoke to Carey Price briefly yesterday about rust he showed in 1st game. I thought rebound on Pavelski goal was worst example, he disagreed. Price said he was going to kick that puck int corner, as it arrived it bounced up on edge, hit his stick, then his pad and right in front. Felt most rusty retrieving pucks behind his net because of speed of forecheckers coming at him, and general dealing with speed of the game. On that rebound, he said only way to prevent what happened would be to scoop shot with his glove, which he would never do. Was just bad luck. Price felt he began adjusting to the speed of the game as it went along. Should be interesting to see how he looks early tomorrow night.
Canada lines not good news for Claude Giroux, rotating with a player in Tyler Seguin who is locked in. Same goes for Muzzin, obviously
