Start here today...

* I am hearing the Bruins and Hurricanes have had discussions regarding a deal that could bring center Chris Kelly to Carolina. The Flyers have also contacted the Hurricanes, but I am told so far there is nothing happening between the two teams.

* The Canadiens and Ducks have been talking a lot this summer.. The Habs would like to pick up some speed on their blue line a source confirms....

* The Blue Jackets are looking closely at a player currently on a tryout with a different team at this point. There is no saying whether or not this player makes his tryout team, but I would't at all be shocked to see a few of the tryout players with other teams this week.
