I am hearing today that the on-the-outs Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tim Gleason could be on the move before the holiday trade freeze. Talked to a source who said, "the offers aren't moving much on this player from what I gather but the interest is still there and it seems like the Canes and Gleason alike would like to get the inevitable deal done sooner rather than later."

The Blues have locked up pending unrestricted free agent Alex Steen for three more years for $17.4 Million($5.8 Million per season).
