Sportnet's Mark Spector, reported Friday night that the Oilers and Flyers have been talking about a trade that would include Philly D Luke Schenn, and power forward Wayne Simmonds in exchange for Oilers forward Jordan Eberle (22nd overall pick 2008).

Spector also speculated that the Oilers would be willing to move one of either Eberle or 2012 first overall pick Nail Yakupov in a trade for Simmonds.

Cross Edmonton off the list of teams desperate for the services of Ryan Miller.

The Edmonton Oilers have a verbal agreement in place to sign cosmonaut-goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. The signing is pending the Ladislav Smid to Calgary trade.

Dallas Eakins couldn't find a winner in any of his three starters in Devan Dubnyk, Jason LaBarbera, or Richard Bachman. Therefore, Bryzgalov is the flavor of the week.

Teams still interested in Miller include Philly, Nashville, Washington and Colorado.
