Report: Blues Put Porter on Waivers |

Word is that the St. Louis Blues have made their decision on who won't be on the opening night roster on Thursday.
Winger Chris Porter, of CPR line fame, has been put on waivers according to reports.
Depending on the timing of the filing we may know as soon as Monda if any claims were put in. Assuming he clears Porter will be assigned to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL
It appears that the log jam on left wing, one created by the Blues themselves when they signed Breden Morrow, has claimed a victim. Ahead of Porter on the depth chart are Alex Steen, Jaden Schwartz, Vladimir Sobotka, Magnus Paajarvi, and Morrow.
Over the last handful of seasons Porter has willfully participated in them minor league shuffle between St. Louis and Peoria. Through it all he's not complained, in public view at least, but just gone about his business. Fulfilling an energy line role to the stereotypical letter of the defintion. At this point it would be perfectly understandable for Porter to think, "what do I have to do to stick"?
All complaints aside, this might be the only time of the season that the Blues can sneak someone through waivers. Before the injury bug can bite any of the countless teams around the league that aren't as deep as the Blues.
What's your take? Do you agree with risking the loss if Porter? Why or why not?
