A few quick hits for you from the wonderful world of hockey.....
The Leafs rumors fly, and I continue to really weed through the muck, but when I get one from 2 other places beyond Toronto you need to take notice. This rumor I hinted to earlier, but didn't have enough to really go with it until a few hours ago. The Leafs and the Sens are both looking to get tougher, and Chris Simon is a target of both teams (e2).
Staying on the Island....there is word that the Hurricanes are VERY interested in Jason Blake should he be available, and such a trade could happen in the next week. (e3)
Also Ruslan Fedontenko could be headed to Detroit as reported last week, however don't be surprised if Ruslan stays put until we see what happens with Peter Forsberg.
Peter is a bit of roadblock for about five teams who are waiting to see if Foppa does become available. One thing I do know to be true…I have been told that if he does become available there are only
three teams he would go to at this point. Who are those teams? Depends on whom you ask. (I am getting close)
