Reports are that Horton wants out of Florida and although my sources say those reports are being over sold, I still must admit that Horton's name has come up in more and more of my discussions with the "inner circle" of the rumor world. This morning, I just got off the phone with a Western Canadian source who has told me that there is interest from several teams with Boston and Vancouver leading the way. Vancouver looks like definite buyers right now.

After putting out my blog yesterday that claimed the Habs were up to something I got more and more confirmation that they were indeed burning up the lines up in Quebec. The key targets so far are Zherdev and Nagy....and one source said "Nagy is looking more and more possible as we speak." Also they are looking to move Samsonov and his deal to Chicago. Another team that may take a shot at Samsonov is Boston, where he had some very strong seasons.

The following is the latest and greatest Buyer or Seller Chart.

Western Conference

CENTRAL DIVISION
Nashville +2 (70%)
Detroit +1 (45%)
St. Louis -1 (60%)
Chicago -2 (50%)
Columbus -1 (30%)

NORTHWEST DIVISION
Vancouver +2 (65%)
Calgary +1 (50%)
Minnesota 0 (40%)
Edmonton +2 (70%)
Colorado -1 (65%)

PACIFIC DIVISION
Anaheim +1 (55%)
San Jose 0 (50%)
Dallas 0 (35%)
Phoenix -3 (45%)
Los Angeles -2 (60%)

EASTERN CONFERENCE

ATLANTIC DIVISION
New Jersey 0 (30%)
NY Rangers +3 (75%)
Pittsburgh 0 (35%)
NY Islanders -2 (45%)
Philadelphia -3 (80%)

NORTHEAST DIVISION
Buffalo +1 (35%)
Ottawa +1 (70%)
Montreal +2 (65%)
Toronto -2 (75%)
Boston 0 (70%)

SOUTHEAST DIVISION
Atlanta +1 (50%)
Carolina 0 (60%)
Tampa Bay 0 (60%)
Washington 0 (50%)
Florida -2 (70%)

The Overall Market -3. This means that there are more teams selling then buying right now.

What the Numbers Mean.

(+, -, 0)

The higher the positive number (+) the more likely a team will be adding players
The lower the negative number (-) the more likely the are moving players out
A team at or around zero means they are looking likely to stay put or could go either way depending on circumstances. Just because a team is not looking ot be a buyer or seller does not mean they won’t make a move to strengthen of course or make a move predicated by a buyer or seller.

(%)

This number indicates the percentage based on what I am hearing that the team is likely to actually make a deal. (Note: A team with a (0) BSQ could still be likely to make a deal based solely on the fact that they may be looking to add a player and loose a player, so they can not be considered buyers or sellers in their current discussions)

TO REVIEW: The first number shows whether they are currently strong buyers or sellers and the second number shows how close they are to getting the right partner for them.
