9:28 pm: I knew it would happen, I had a bad feeling about it. Gaborik scores five hole on Nabby while Grabner was in the box for hooking. It was a good call. But because the Isles lost, Capuano and Tavares get upset with the officials for the previous missed calls.

Of course it's not smart to complain after a good call was made that cost them the game. The time for complaining should have been before. Maybe he did, maybe it wasn't emphatic enough.

The Isles get a single point and the Rangers leave with two. I can't even imagine what the parking lot will look like at the Coliseum.

This was supposed to be a 'character win' for the Isles. Nabby played his heart out, Reasoner has to go.

9:23 pm: And the game is tied at one and heads into overtime. The Isles gave the Rangers a point. I suppose it could have been worse, but they needed the two.

9:16 pm: The Rangers score the tying goal on a deflection. I'm not even sure who scored it since I was screaming profanity when it happened. THIS is why I couldn't be in the press box tonight. We knew this had to happen.

9:05 pm: Halfway through the third and I'm getting very, very nervous. We need another goal please. An Islander goal.

It's also something when there are no calls even when there are blatant infractions that should have been called.

9 pm: Change Nabokov's name to Hoover because he's sucking up every puck. But this is dangerous territory. The Rangers will get one through and the Isles need to get some insurance goals like NOW if they intend to win!

8:49 pm: The last 20 minutes of the game and this is crucial.

8:38 pm: Okay, the stat sheet has to be wrong. It is crediting Matt Martin with 4 hits and no shots on goal. If he hit Lundqvist in the chest, doesn't that count?

8:27 pm: The Isles PK was so good, they got to do it again while I turned my head. matt Martin with a breakaway chance is stopped by Lundqvist. Yes, I said Matt Martin. How about that. Someone on Twitter said he's becoming the ultimate player. I agree.

Roman Hamrlik is making his Ranger debut at 38 years old. if he scores on this power play, he will be a hero for the Rangers.

But... he doesn't 1:35 left of the second and the crowd is loud as hell. Nabokov with a glove save that he sells big and gets the "Nabby" chant from the Isles crowd.

8:18 pm: Second period and the Isles are on the PK with both Casey and Finley in the box along with Rangers Bickel. I thought I called for a Grabner goal this morning. I believe I got it.

Isles PK needs to be on their game or this will be dangerous.

Penalty ends with the Rangers managing a single shot on Nabokov.

4:34 pm: A little pre-game chatter with Chris King and Greg Picker

10:59 am: Confirmed, Boulton in for Ullstrom. Nabby in net of course! Same D pairings as Tuesday. Can Martinek get another? How about Martin? YEAH!

7 am: Okay, I know you HBers will be talking about this all day long, so let's get the conversation started.

The Islanders need to snap the Rangers' winning streak, the same way they snapped the Canadiens. This is a must win game for the Isles if they want to bring the fans back to the Coliseum.

Both Brad Richards and Marc Staal are out of the line-up indefinitely, but that doesn't mean the Rangers will be easy to beat.

Art Staple said he expects Michael Haley to be brought up and inserted into the line-up and the Isles will probabaly play Boulton in the place of Ullstrom. The Rangers picked up Roman Hamrlik yesterday and I couldn't do anything but laugh. I can't believe he's still playing. But okay.

While fights are typical in Isles vs Rangers games, including in the stands, I'm hoping the beating will come on the scoreboard and not just in the dropping the gloves department.

With the success of the Cizikas-Martin-McDonald line, maybe they can take the pressure off the Tavares-Moulson-Boyes line a little. Give the Rangers another line to chase after.

Let's hope Michael Grabner keeps his head up and watches where he's shooting during his breakaway and continue to add to his goal count and his charity donation list.

Okay, let's get this party started! Let's Go Islanders
