According to the Toronto Sun's Terry Koshan, Leafs winger Matt Frattin is slowly recovering from the surgical repair of his left knee injured in the final game of the Calder Cup Western Conference Final against Oklahoma City in late Mayand is about a month away from getting back on the ice.

The 24 year old winger has been rehabilitating the knee in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta over the summer and is expected to be a key contributor for the Leafs after signing a two year, $1.9 Million contract in early July, but with the looming possibility of an NHL lockout, it is possible that Frattin will have plenty of time to get to full health and could start the season in the AHL, if the lockout extends in November or December.

For those who are worried about getting their hockey fix if the owners proceed with a lockout of the players after September 15th, the Toronto Marlies have released their schedule for the upcoming season and are guaranteed to be playing starting October 13th.
