Step Into The Freezer

Well it looks like the rumours of a J-Bo trade are back. After what seemed like a quiet couple weeks could the Flames really be getting ready to move him?
My first question is: Has Big Jay even been asked to waive his no trade clause? Is it possible that Feaster could get all the way where a deal is agreed upon and he could say I won’t move.
Second question: How could NJ or Pho make a deal for an almost 7 million dollar player with all the financial problems they are having? I don’t see those two teams as plausible destinations at all, however, maybe Feaster is trying to play like they are in the game to up the value coming back.
Third question: So if Detroit, St. Louis and Phili. are the real suitors who are they offering? Do any of those teams have the centre man the Flames desperately need? Is it a package of B level prospects? Lastly are these teams really that desperate that they would pay what Feaster wants for an asset he wants to cash in on?
These questions are really bothering me when I think about trading Bouwmeester. I really don’t think his contract is going to scare people away anymore. However, Feaster needs to find something significant. This could be the move that can define his tenure. Similar to how after all the good things Sutter did he has become defined by the Phaneuf trade and his love affair with Jokinen. I am very curious to see how close this is from really happening. The Flames don’t need to be in a rush and the other teams involved may want to see what they have in training camp before they pay a steep price for the smooth skating defender.
