Reports have Uncle Lou and the New Jersey Devils and Bobby Butler have agreed on a one year deal.
Reports are it is a two-way deal still pending confirmation.

Interesting move, perhaps another diamond in the rough such as Ryan Carter and Steve Bernier. The two-way gives much less risk and tells me Uncle Lou is not done adding pieces... perhaps Petr Sykora.

Butler, which Todd Cordell spoke about in prior blogs, was bought out by Ottawa as he never developed into that top 6 forward. Can the Devils' system help his growth? I do think so.
Butler, 25, has shown glimps of scoring prowess and is a low risk signing by New Jersey.

Not an earth shattering signing by the Eastern Conference Champs but a depth move that can pay high dividends... hopefully.

Truly yours,
