**PS: thinking Semin rumour is untrue. Just sayin'
It wasn't easy, but it's over. The New Jersey Devils and their 40-year-old, future Hall of Fame goalie have made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Congrats to them and congrats to the NY Rangers for their stellar season.
As an Islander fan, yes, it is my birth-right to root against the Rangers and if some hockey fans found that offensive, I am sorry. But I do recognize the hard work and excellence they brought to the playoffs this year.
And now we have the final two and our last scheduled hockey games for the 2011-2012 season. And that's where I will start to really feel the pain. By June 13th, we will no longer be watching hockey games. Ouch.
Also contrats to Kirill Kabanov and his team (whose name I cannot spell) for making it to the Memorial Cup so I'll go to Twitter and copy it:
Final ~ Shawinigan Cataractes v. London Knights #OHL
Okay then. That's a good thing. Also on Twitter a few days ago was an interesting Tweet about Kirill and the KHL:
@AOsadchenko
Kirill Kabanov just told me information about him going to Salavat of the KHL for next season is false. He stays put in NA. #Isles #memcup
You can take it from there. Happy Saturday Hockey Fans!
