16 games in 31 days during the month of March. The Sabres have already one the first one, much in thanks to Ryan Miller.

Four points out of the playoffs and many fans never thought the Sabres would even come this close to the final playoff spot.

Now, the Sabres have put themselves in a position to get into the top eight. Buffalo trail the Jets by four points, but still have two games in hand and a match against them on Monday night.

Since the Southeast Division is so close, it's hard to tell where Florida, Washington and Winnipeg will all finish. Regardless, the Sabres have one game remaining against each of those three teams, all in the month of March.

Every game at this point is huge, including Saturday's game again the best team in the league - Vancouver.

The Leafs have gone 1-8-1 in their past ten games, and have fallen to 11th. With two games left against Toronto, the Leafs could be battling for the final spot as well. The home and home set isn't until the end of March.

The Sabres need to keep playing the way they have been in order to lock up the final playoff spot. It doesn't look like anything higher than 8th will be available, so there is going to be a load of teams fighting for it.
