It was a slow day getting going, but had quite an awesome ending...
Winners today....
Nashville Predators...
The additions of Hal Gill, Andrei Kostitsyn, and Paul Gaustad are huge to a team most already consider one of the hardest teams to play. The Preds are a definite Stanley Cup Contender.
Vancouver Canucks...
The Canucks added Kassian for some much needed size and Pahlsson as a shutdown forward with a Cup ring. The best in the West got better...When you think about it, this team was 1 win from a Cup last season and it is hard to debate they aren't better going into this post season.
The Buffalo Sabres...
They often say the team that wins a trade is the team who gets the best player...well if that is the case the Sabres got the best player who was traded on deadline day in Cody Hodgson. Hodgson is the kind of player who will not only bring extra offense on his own but could also help ignite guys like Stafford and Leino.
