Adjustments and adaptations, that was the theme of last night’s 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks. The Nashville Predators had to adjust to the return of Francis Bouillon and Mike Fisher to the lineup and needed to adapt to the San Jose Sharks upping their game after the Preds tied things up in the third period. It took awhile for the first to happen, still waiting for the second.

After crawling back into the game through simple hard work, the team let its’ guard down and paid the price as San Jose re-took the lead less than a minute later. That kind of resiliency is normally a Predator hallmark.

While frustration is growing, there is room for hope. Craig Smith continues his hot play, Fisher knocked the rust off pretty quickly and Bouillon played solid minutes and even survived a questionable hit to his head from Brad Winchester.

The Predators are back in action tomorrow night at the Bridge, welcoming in the Tampa Bay Lightning. Game time is 7pm.
