You would think that this past season would’ve stopped some of the silliness we are see from David Shoalts, but our favorite storyteller is back again with more tales of doom, gloom and storylines about the Predators losing $11 million dollars over the past two seasons.

Considering all the reports about the team either making a small profit or breaking even in every season since the new ownership took over. Why is he allowed to continue to trowel out blatant falsehoods to back up his hatred of all things southern. We know you hate the fact that hockey is in Nashville David, you're going to be doing it a looong tme.

You can say one thing about our friend Mr. Shoalts... he never let the facts interfere with a good story.

And speaking of facts… the whole RFA Qualifying offer controversy that erupted in Nashville this morning has been interesting. I'm just wondering... could there possibly be an agent driving this one… hmmm… who could it be????

Kevin Wilson of the Predators Communications staff gave a brief comment this morning at the opening of Development Camp. The message he gave was that the team did what it was supposed to do, the NHL published the list of qualifying offers and that he team had not been contacted about the situation.

The Tennessean’s Josh Cooper is always on top of these things, he got a statement from the NHL saying “We are not aware of any defects relating to Qualifying Offers tendered by the Nashville Predators to certain of the team’s Players as several media outlets are reporting.”

Move along folks… nothing to see here.

A couple of observations from this morning's on-ice session...

- Zach Budish was just cleared to participate in the camp yesterday... he looked very good, a man among boys in the group he was in.

- Michael Latta showed some strong signs of being a real goal scorer. He made quite a few of the goaltenders look flat out bad.

- Taylor Beck looked solid.

- Magnus Hellberg looked rusty, however, he was not in his own equipment and hadn't been on the ice since his season ended. I will say this... he is big!
