Shut out again.

A for effort.
Not good enough.

Devils shut out. Three times in the last six games.

The Devils have not had a "normal" lineup since the second game of the season in the 7-2 debacle in Washington.
Instability in the locker room of an eminent trade.
Tons of injuries.
Rookies in and out.
Line juggling.
A below average Marty (he has looked great in inconsistent spurts).
An even worse performance from Moose Hedberg as I consider him a great backup.
Kovalchuk should be averaging 5-7 shots per game...NOT 2.8!
A Rookie Coach. Can he motivate this team? This team needs a psychological Coach NOW!
Unlucky bounces. No finishing. Clarkson had a great chance tonight, just not going in for the Devils.
Fill in the blank_______________________.

Something has got to give. As the Devils get meaningful bodies back Uncle Lou should make a few key moves and settle the lineup. They need to see which Rookie can give stability in the lineup. Taormina is, in my opinion, the best impact with Fraser able to chip in. I'm curious to see Josefson, Vasyunov, Eckford, and Tedenby for a few more games.

Curious if MacLean is the Coach when Parise returns to the lineup. He is not impressing me thus far. I still don't have any strong opinion.

So, what gives?

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
