Marty Brodeur left the Chicago game with a bruised elbow following a blocked shot. Xrays were negative and this is all we know at this point.

On the positive side, the Devils beat the Hawks 5-3 but it was a close one towards the end and the Devils netting two empty netters. Leading 2-0 (I believe the first two goal lead of the season) the Devils gave up the lead and saw the game tied at two.
Rookie Brad Mills scored a fluky goal swatting at the puck and bouncing it off of Turco. Mills knows his place, he is to do the basic stiff and get the puck in deep - keep it simple. And it worked. Nice to see the Devils didn't hang their heads after losing the lead and kept at it.
If anything, this is a confidence building win.

A one game winning streak again!

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
