The Devils begin a "crucial" Western trip. How crucial is it? I do not think it could get any worse, so looking forward to seeing something click. Weather it is Marty Brodeur, Hedberg if/when he makes an appearance, lines, the D look solid, etc...

So many wishes.

Perhaps the time away to bond as a team and get away from local distractions will help the Devils. Or some sunny California weather.

Not much to blog about but I do think that someone has to step up and show their leadership. Will it be Parise, Kovalchuk, Langenbrunner or Elias? Will someone have a fire on their a$$ and throw it all out on the table (or the locker room)?

Something has got to give.

Lets see what they bring tonight.
