What gives?

After a 2-1-3 Preseason record and a look at many rookies, and a few new vets in for try outs, what gives Uncle Lou?

Needing to shed payroll due to the Cap by 3pm on Wednesday, Uncle Lou finds himself in a proactive position to make moves.
Ek has mentioned many times the likes of the Leafs, Avs and Kings as trading partners.
The likes of Salvador, Zubrus, Rolston, Clarkson, Langenbrunner aslo mentioned as possible casualties.

Again, what gives? Actions have to be made by the beginning of the season and I am sure Uncle Lou has a few possible trading partners. It is a matter of pulling the trigger.
The next big question is; What do we get back aside than a late round pick?

The auditions are over and, to me, Adam Mair and Alex Urbom stood out. Josefson and Tedenby also showed me an ability to crack the lineup.

Will Colin White suffer the same fate as Rangers dman Wade Redden and be put on waivers?
Will Dainius Zubrus' lack of a no trade clause see his $3.4 mil contract shipped out despite having a very good preseason?
LTIR seems like a likely place for concussion injured Bryce Salvador. If there is anything good about this is that he can be put on LTIR for the time being and no rush to get back allowing him to fully recover, same thing with Salmela.

The countdown is here, the puck drop in less than a week and we will see who the Devils have on the ice for the first day of the season.

Let's go Devils!

Truly yours,
