I was surfing the web last night and found a great site. If you are like me and enjoy the "fashion" of the game (and, yes, we have seen some bad things) you should check out this site:

NHL Jersey Watch is a very nice piece they put out and constantly update. According to several reports many NHL teams planning on launching new jerseys, third jerseys and some specialty jerseys. I see a little European soccer infusion where team jerseys switch on a yearly basis, this has become a tremendous marketing scheme for teams and leagues.

Here are a few highlights from perusing the site (check out links on right side of page) and doing other searches:

- A huge congratulations to the Buffalo Sabers on their new jersey! Saying good bye to the "Buffa-slug" is tremendous. This set of jerseys has to be one of my top favorites in the league hands down. Their third jersey with the retro look is also very nice. Sabers fans must be very happy.

- The Vancouver Canucks also making some changes adding The stick in rink jersey as a specialty ( I believe I read them possibly adopting the logo - if the Sabers can ditch the slug, the Canucks can tell the whack to go away too.). Notice the "V" detail on the cuff of sleeve.

- The Rangers come out with a third jersey. Although many mixed reviews as some Ranger fans were hoping to see the Statue of Liberty come out again. I think it is a very nice and classy jersey, i think they took the safe route but a timeless design.

- Penguins and Caps planning retro jerseys fir the Winter Classic. A few Penguins leaks suggesting a blue jersey with the old school scarves penguin. Caps look like they will use their old school jerseys with the stars on it. I can see myself buying a retro Scott Stevens Caps jersey. Lol

- Anaheim Ducks will be unveiling a new alternate jersey. I am very curious.

- The Devils plan to wear their red and green jersey again this year. I love it.

Anyway, these are just some things that stood out and wanted to share with you all.

What are your thoughts? Which ones do you like or dislike?

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
