I will post randoms but Tom has the best up to date info on the guys.

With much speculation and Uncle Lou Lamoriello indicating it is a topic for discussion with the Devils brass, Should Scott Niedermayer's jersey be retired by the Devils?

I will let you decide:

Niedermayer is the only player to win every major North American and international championship in his career; he has won the Memorial Cup, World Junior Championship gold, IIHF World Championship gold, two Olympic gold medals, four Stanley Cups and the World Cup.

Niedermayer was drafted in the first round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils with the third overall selection from the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
3 Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils and one with the Anaheim Ducks.

My vote it in, I do think there is a high likelyhood that it could happen this season. If so it is well deserved for a player who helped put New Jersey on the map from a "Mickey Mouse Organization"!
Thank you, Scott, for all you have done for our organization.

Stevens, Daneyko, and hopefully Niedemayer in the rafters.

Next up Brodeur and Elias.

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
