New Jersey Devils prospect Kevin Cormier has retired.
After the first day of camp Cormier, whose brother Patrice was once a Devils prospect sent to Atlanta in the Kovalchuk deal, communicated to Lou Lamoriello that he is done with hockey.

According to his agent, Kevin will focus on the family's fishing business but he did hint that there may be a tiny space open for Kevin to change his mind about retirement.

Originally drafted by Phoenix in the 6th Round of the 2004 draft, he was acquired by New Jersey and played with Lowell and Trenton Devils last year.

While we are on the topic of prospects...
I am planning an interview with Jared Ramsden, Devils correspondent for HockeysFuture.com

PM me any questions you have regarding our prospects pool and I will include some of them in our interview.

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
