Devils vs Isles - The Atlantic still up for grabs

The Devils find themselves still in the hunt for the Atlantic Division title as they nter tonight's game against the Islanders ties with the Penguins.

After failed to beat the Panthers on Thursday despite firing 45 shots on former Devil Scott Clemmensen. I do not think the Devils played a bad game. The shots need to go in. Clemmensen waas great especially in the last 5 minutes when the Devils kept at him.

The Devils have won three of five games against the Islanders this season and eight of the last twelve. The Isles have not won in New Jersey in their last five trips.
The Atlantic Division title is in the Devils' hands. The Devils and the Penguins have identical records with two games each remaining. The Devils, however, hold the tie breaker for the season versus the Pens.
The Devils' last two games are at home against the Isles and then Buffalo. The Penguins play Atlanta and the Isles in their last two games. Two Devils win, or a Devils win with a Pens loss would do.

Devils vs Bruins as it looks like right now.

Like I mentioned in my last blog, the playoffs have started already for the Devils as they try to get the Atlantic banner. Not that the Devils need another banner in the rafters but for the confidence builder it could bring since the team has been quite inconsistent over the last quarter of the season.

I would say I am comfortable with this team heading into the first round of the playoffs, weather the Bruins, Ottawa or Rangers. Philly can be very tough and be a physically dangerous team.

To win, or to rest. That is the question.
“This is a question we’re asking ourselves,” said coach Lemaire “We know we want to finish as high as possible, that’s one thing. The other thing, we want to make sure the players are rested for the playoffs, so we have a huge decision to make.”

Lets go Devils!
