Tonight the Devils play the Thrashers for the first time since Uncle Lou's blockbuster deal that brought Ilya Kovalchuk to The Rock. The Devils parted with Johnny Oduya, Niclas Bergfors, prospect Patrice Cormier and a pick.

Who do you think won this deal? In my opinion... time will tell and we will find out at the end of the season. Many scenarios but if Lou resigns him, hands down winner. If we lose Kovy for nothing (and not get to the Cup Finals), we lose.

So the big buzz is Kovy's return. The Devils' dressing room has other things on their minds.
The players will "say the right things" but beating the Penguins for #1 in the Atlantic is something they want - something they should want. In addition to another banner it will be a confidence booster heading into the playoffs.

Playoffs start now and the first round if for tops in the Atlantic.

What's up with Captain America? After being scratched in Carolina Jamie Langenbrunner is all "No Comment" to reporters and apparently not happy about something. Hmmmm something fishy brewing in New Jersey? Certainly not good timing.

Mike Mottau should sit out along with jay Pandolfo Anssi Salmela, Vladimir Zharkov.
