Sunday Notes…

- If any of the 17113 at Bridgestone Arena left unentertained last night, they need to check their pulse. Fire wagon hockey, great goaltending, overtime, an 11 round shootout and just a hint of nastiness was the recipe for a really good hockey game.

- Detroit came away with the two points, but the one for Nashville was huge, keeping them in 5th place… for now. Detroit still has a game in hand.

- The Predators head to Florida for a classic trap scenario in Monday night’s game. An Eastern Conference Opponent, right before two critical Western games, against their old goaltender… and because of the Versus blackout on Monday’s, no TV.

- Blake Geoffrion sure lived up to the family name over the weekend in the West Region of the NCAA Hockey Tournament, two goals and three assists in leading the Wisconsin Badgers to the Frozen Four.

- Congratulations to the UAH Chargers on their solid effort against number one seed Miami (Ohio), falling just short 2-1. Speaking of Geoffrions, Blakes little brother Sebastian did well in his NCAA debut.

- According to a tweet from Blues color man Darren Pang (@Panger40), the Philadelphia Flyers were in Ft. Wayne for the UAH/Miami game, scouting UAH goaltender Cameron Talbot who played a simply incredible game.

- Check out www.hockeybuzzradio.com for picture from the HBR road trip and new shots from last night’s 11-round shootout thriller at the Bridge.
