40 again?

Devils host Rick Nash and the Blue Jackets tonight in the only meeting between the teams this season. Devils are 5-2-2 all-time against the Jackets.

Martin Brodeur goes for his 8th 40 Win season tonight. Just another notch on his storied career. No other goalie has more than 3 40 Win seasons - How is that for a stat?

The Devils' anemic Power Play goes at it again, 0-17 despite good puck movement, chances generated and control of late. The puck needs to hit the twine.

Rolston/Zajac/Kovalchuk line? We will see how long it lasts as Coach Lemaire is trying to change things up a bit - or trying to get Rolston going prior to playoffs.
Coach Lemaire said:

"Rolie is a shooter and Kovy is a great passer," Lemaire said. "Kovy sees everybody on the ice. When you don't expect the puck, he's going to send it to you because you're open. You could be close, you could be far. He sees you."

I am no coach but... I would like to think the opposite and would WANT Kovalchuk to be the shooter!

The Devils are not the same team despite adding Kovalchuk. They are not a team playing on the same page, or at least not doing it consistently. That scares me as we get close to the playoffs.

Lets go Devils!!
