So... Instead of lamenting being closer to 40 years old (I am now 36!) I will focus on my family, my health, my career and... MY NEW JERSEY DEVILS!

Uncle Lou, usually a reserved fellow, personally and professionally (It's easier to squeeze water from a stone than get rumors from the Devils!) but tonight he will be in the spotlight with some very great company!

Uncle Lou will be immortalized tonight along with Brett Hull, Brian Leetch, Luc Robitaille and Steve Yzerman - The Class of 2009.

Lou has done alot in hockey and alot for hockey in New Jersey. Devils fans have had the pleasure, and luck, to have him at the helm. We have been a successful franchise from our humble "Mickey Mouse Organization" days as Mr. Gretzky put it at the time. Be he would love to be Coaching the New Jersey Devils right about now! *Just had to put that in there! With all due respect obviously.

Private, hard ass, shrewd, business man, highly respected, a man of his word, no nonsense are all words used to describe Uncle Lou but Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger puts it best; Visionary.

So on my Birthday I wish you become an immortal in hockey and in New Jersey as you are inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame. Thank you for giving Devils fans 3 Stanley Cups and a perennial playoff team, something many long time, white-bearded NHL fans will never see in their lives. We have been spoiled but we want more!

Is it too much to ask that "you" hang your jersey up in the rafters of The Rock?
You are truly a legend. Congratulations!
