One of the most climactic and disappointing days for a Devils fan. Same as trade deadline day.

While I am very content with Lou keeping Oduya and Greene, today the Devils lost Madden, Gionta, Rupp, Clemmensen. These names have played a part in Devils great history. It will be wiered to see Madden and Gio in different uniforms. But then again, losing key contributors isnt anything new to the Devils. And from what I hear no offers made today to any from the Devils side.
Lou has already indicated Rod Pelley will be assuming a role in the absence of Madden. L-LeBlond will fill in for the loss of Rupp. Gionta's goals will will have to come from somewhere and plenty of UFAs that could help.

But I must still have some conviction in saying; In Lou We Trust. We have to as this may be an important one for Uncle Lou.

Yes, I am disappointed we didnt land any big fish; Hossa, Havlat, Komisarek. But thats nothing new. So we have to focus on the next layer of UFAs, many who I can see a fit in a Devils system. Remember, last year we signed the likes of Rolston, Holik.

Here are a few names to give some thought to and entertain. I could see some fitting a Devil mode;
Samuelsson, Sykora, Satan, Scuderi, Beauchemin, Tanguay I would love, Kovalev would be like getting Mogiy but not likely in my opinion, Weeks still an option in goal or even Valiquette lol (The question is; Would Frazee benefit more from playing 10 games in the bigs, or startin Lowell and continue his good play?), Robert Lang, Jason Williams, Malhotra, LaRose, Shanahan, Aucoin, Morris, Mara, .... just a few names I wouldnt mind a stab at.

I would really like to see Lou replace Giontas goals and veteran leadership that Madden gave. Im anxiously waiting.

Oh, Uncle Lou please get us a Coach.
