Jersey woes - Is Coach Sutter on the hot seat?

Another loss, 5 and counting. To the rival Rangers which makes it worse. To magnify it the team didnt even show up?

A game that could have gotten the team back on track and a boost of confidence the team failed to show up on the ice and gave the Rangers a dominant showing and confidence all to themselves. Too many mistakes, too many error passes, a total disconnect in team chemistry which Coach Sutter referred to "teammates not trusting eachother", no transition game - a total car wreck. Now will this embarrassment on a game that was broadcast on Versus be enbough to kick the team in the rear?

Coach Sutter had a meeting prior to practice today and eluded to the fact that "enough is enough". These are adults who have their own role and responsibility, which has been the key to success for the Devils during their history. Now lets man up to our mistakes and get this train on the right track!

I have been asked if Coach Sutter is on the hot seat. Coach Sutter seemed like a guy with no answers, a tad frustrated and even showing the rare emotion on the becnh last night - heck, even I am still sick from watching the game.
In his comments to the media today Coach Sutter made a point to say he and Uncle Lou had spoken and "both" are on the same page on how dissatisfied with the team. perhaps that open dialogue is a true bond between GM and Coach. Yes, Sutter has expressed being homesick but he is a straight shooter and human, why shouldnt he when his family is a tad distant during the season?
Sutter has been a key acquisition and in two years showed he is one of the best coaches the Devils have had ranking him, in my opinion, along the likes of Lemaire and Burns. Yes even my favorite Larry Robinson who I think is the best assistant coach we have ever had!

This team has had an unusual ability to turn it on at will, we obviously cannot rely on that.

This team is a mature team, one of the oldest in the league. I am sure that has somehting to do with running out of gas this late in the season. Look at Boston a few weeks ago struggling until they beat...the Devils.

The team clinched a playoff spot early on and still hadthe drive to help Marty achieve records. No floating into playoffs from here, there needs to be that killer attitude and bull doze into the playoffs.
As I said, maybe last evenings debacle could have been the tip of the iceberg - Now lets cut the @$#%& and show what they are capable of, show why they have been one of the top teams most ofthe season. (do I sound like a frustrated fan? I am!)

And to answer the question... NO Sutter is not on the hot seat.

Truly yours,
