Plenty of visitors tonight at the Sommet Center. Scotty Walker and the Carolina Hurricanes are coming to call... this is Walker's first regular season visit to Nashville. Versus is in town to broadcast the game, and the Commish is in town. Yes, Gary Bettman is coming to town and will address the season ticket holder forum that is going on this evening.

An interesting little intra-conference tilt tonight. I've said it since the beginning... I really wish that the Preds would get to play Carolina and Atlanta a little more... build the regional thing a bit... but unless the NHL gets out of their "east/west" thinking, that won't happen.

A real battle is going on in the southeast with conventional wisdom saying that only one team may make the playoffs from the division. The 'Canes are tied with Atlanta for the top spot in the division, so far Carolina holds the tie breaker and has the third seed in the conference, the Thrashers are on the outside looking in at the 9 spot, three points behind the Bruins.

Game time is 7pm... coverage is one 104.5 the Zone and Versus... I'll be joining Greg Pogue on the SportRadio 560 pre-game at 6pm, live from Rippy's. Some tickets remain, but it does look like there's going to be a good crowd at Sommet, especially for a Tuesday night game...
