At 12 you might be forced to take a d-man unless you go off the grid. I don't know what the big deal is, it's not like the kid is going to be playing in the next year or two.

I would love if Toronto could some how trade down, get some more assest, trade for another first and come away from the draft with Dumba and Faksa.

It is highly likely that they will take a D if they keep their 12th pick and that is the best player available. With a lot of D prospects at this position they may look to use this pick to move up or down in the draft or in a trade.

I would imagine Ottawa makes a move to grab this guy (if anyone). Murray loves to build hometown boys.

Word is Sabres were the only team to bring Olli Maatta in for private workout. Finnish D...Sabres have Teppo on staff. Never know.

I don't even think Buffalo Keeps this pick but if they do it's not for a D-Man. I could see them going for Teravainen if he's there or going off the board for Collberg.

Ceci is the only defenseman I want the Sabres to consider. I saw him play live a few times and the kid is the real deal. great shot, great size and solid in his own end as well. He will be a force in as little as 2 years. Outside of Ryan Murray, I think hell be the best defenseman to emerge

I doubt they would take a d-man. I could see them take Girgensons at 12.

As much as I would like to take a center, if you think this guy is gonna be a top pairing guy, and you think Zemgus is going to be a 2nd line center, then you go with the bpa and pick the dman. Look at the Rangers, lots of good young dmen that carry that team.

I'm gonna be the first to go off the board and say this, but I honestly would not be surprised if he was in the NHL next season.
