Maybe the Hawks take Vasilevski at #18?

Possibly. However, Vasilevski seems more like someone a team with two picks might take a chance on because of the question marks and concerns.

The "Russian Factor" would be my only concern too. I watched him at the World Juniors and he was down right awesome. I have been saying the Lightning should take this guy over Subban.

Don't they figure Tokarski is about ready to make the jump?

Maybe it's just me but I hate the idea of taking goalies in the 1st round, regardless of how highly they are touted. It's always a crap shoot.

Tic is 22 and yes I believe he can make the jump, but like Schnieder, as a back-up and NOT to Garon. So there lies the problem.

Yzerman keeps talking about wanting to get young in net, so who knows.

I tend to not want to grab Gs high as well, unless you really feel strongly about one. Hard to tell.

Then we're in the same boat as they are in a few years, but Luongi is older, so NO.

It's not ridiculous. Your just use to seeing consensous lists from scouts who have no tie to a team. Button was a GM, and still rates these guys as if he was a GM. He just looks at prospects in a different way that he's deemed more effective. Most NHL teams have a list that probably looks just like this. Just because most mock drafts have a similar first round doesn't mean GM's do. There are probably a few teams in the league who have these guys ranked very similar.

This is the best draft for goalies in almost ten years, and I'm not just talking the big 3. The guys slated for the later rounds are all very intriguing as well.

In a draft where there is a significant talent drop off after the first 12-15 guys, it's not that farfetched, to me at least.

Whats ridiculous is people hating on Button when year after year he is more right than 90% of mock drafts.

Add Frederik Andersen to the top notch goalie pool. Might be the best one available with his size and SEL numbers.
