Yes not everybody is scared. There are some people with their head scewed on right and will only use things appropriately. But the scared people are the ones that make the headlines. So how can you be proative and prevent those scared people from doing something stupid?

I would assume the amount of deaths have dropped. Also people could intervine with a knife stabbing, or get them to a hospital with a better chance of survival then with a gun shot.

How do you feel about having to rent a gun to go do your hunting?

Obviously the hunt would be with a guide, so you couldn't take the gun and go human hunting.

And the guide would also have a bigger gun then he rents to you, to prevent you from taking the gun and killing the guide and taking off.

You could go rent a gun any time you felt like hunting, and the cost to rent a gun would be no more then it would to own your gun and pay a butcher to divide up your spoils as a butcher would be back at the gun rental cabin and he would cut your meat for you after the hunt.

This is of course in the perfect world where guns all over the world had been deystroyed( except for the ones given to the gun rental shops) and only steak knifes were used in stabbings.

I would hate to rent a gun. Guns are just like anything else you get used to your own stuff. I'm sure they would be more beat up as well, due to them being rentals. And as for that guide thing, if someone wanted to kill him, he would be killed. The butcher is for some people, I deal with my own meat, it's a lot cheaper that way. Some butchers are just to damn expensive.

In Connecticut, when you take your course to obtain a pistol permit the teacher is watching you the whole time, evaluating every move you make, you take several tests. Not to mention it's an 8 hour class. When I went I saw a guy denied the paper work to go to his local police station because he was shaky with the gun in his hand, they didn't think he should own one. And when you get the paper work for the next step you have to go to your police station, get finger printed and be evaluated by a state trooper. Then the next step is for the FBI to do a background check, they can take up to 9 months if they wish so. The people you are probably talking about not being able to take it anymore are the ones that know how to get a gun easily, people need to practice storing their weapons more properly.
