Blake might crack the opening night roster. If there is a player that could pull this off without tasting the AHL (and I don't think that has ever been done with a prospect) it's Blake Geoffrion. Hometown boy, Hobey Baker winner, Frozen Four participant... Nashville might wanna try him out for a spell and see how it goes. Did Ovechkin go to the AHL? Did Crosby? Maybe it's time to see if we can produce a superstar the same way! With that being said... I'll believe it when I see it.

Even TSN is ticking me off on the big story they are making out of this. Right now it's "Price Beaters: Sens beat Price, Canadiens."

They're adding to the whole situation by suggesting that he and the team are not one or related in much of any way.

Not that there are any intelligent people calling in on CJAD radio after the game, but the couple of guys I heard should be shot simply for stupidity.

All they could do was blame Price and... Gainey.

Price still has a long way to go before we possibly see his best, but some of these goals are one's that likely would not have been scored had legitimate dmen been on the ice at the time. What is Klubertanz on the depth chart, like #16?

Gainey? So Price may have benefitted from spending more time in Hamilton, maybe not. No matter what you think, Gainey is a respectable guy, and some influence may have been placed in pushing him over Halak, even a couple years ago. Oh well, we're dealing with NOW.

But what about a couple other things. For one, I don't think anyone had brought up the fact that Halak was great for Martin's system. Let the other team take as many bad angle shots as they want, Halak or the dmen will just get in the way. Price doesn't play that way, and I think the defensive end of a 'system' needs to be played according to the style of the goalie. Work your system around how the goalie and the dmen interact in their end and style of play.

And lastly, the 'fans', as they so call themselves, need to lay off. Not just Price, but the team. I'll admit, I've only become a fairly crazy, all-out, hockey fan in the past few seasons although I've always been a Habs fan. But in the past 2 seasons especially, where I have paid a lot of attention to hockey, there are not many people who can sound older than a 10 year old who is on and off again best friends with someone over some dumb little childish problem.

Habs could win 5 games in a row, the moment they lose 1 game, all he!! breaks lose, 'fans' asking for someone's head, usually the goaltenders unless someone made a really bad defensive play, then it was his fault. Seriously? How old do you sound when you always have someone to blame. "He did it!," "No, he did it!"... "Stop pulling your sisters hair!" "Don't make me come back there and separate the pair of you!"

Just once, will they shut up and just say, "So what, we lost one, let's have faith in our team and hope they win the next one." People need to be more objective and think from the outside of the situation, especially considering that is where we actually are,... on the outside, looking in.

Right now, it seems like, if Price and the team were to win 20 games in a row, if they lost the 21st game and it was because Price let in a 'soft' goal, all you would hear was, "Ah, I can't believe the money this guy is making, Price stinks, get out of town, Gainey ruined Price, someone should have fired him sooner than when he left on his own, the old Carey is back, our season is over, my life stinks (lol), get the firing squad, shoot everyone on the team, Price first, the management, the owners, bring in a new team, we still don't have the french superstar, trade for Vinny!"

Point is, you're not winning them all, stop living in just the moment, relax a little and let time take its course.

This garbage has seriously got to end, and people have to just back off once in a while after a game. Suck it up, the team lost a game. SO WHAT! There are 82 of them, and you can probably make the playoffs for sure by winning 45 of them.

These people just have to learn to be happy and hope for the best. You have no control over the fact that Halak is gone, but let's HOPE that Eller and Schultz make us forget that other guys name, which you know we will slowly begin to bit by bit, because we do end up living in the moment. Don't forget, a lot of what was once big names for Montreal in recent years are not much of anything now. Streit, Koivu, and maybe Ryder are the only ones still doing fairly well.

No matter what, we can't control anything but simply watch, and should be as supportive as possible of our team (and everyone on it) and hope for the best. When our team gets down by a goal or 2, the fans at the Bell Centre should not go silent, they should rise up and show our team we still care, we still want the W, and encourage them to the end. If we don't give up, our team hopefully won't give up either. As the 6th man, we should act like one of the team and push them on with our support right to the end of the game, and when we lose, support them into the next game where we hopefully do come away with a W! (hopefully not George)
