Growing up just outside of Boston, and being the son of a hockey player (one who won the 7th player award in high school I might add) paved the way for me when it came to being a fan of the hometown Bruins. Sure, I’m an avid Boston sports fan (and one who actually does not omit the letter “R” from his vocabulary). I root for the Sox, Patriots and Celtics as well. And unlike most of the bandwagon fans they’ve attracted, I can name a player other than Larry Bird who played for them before Kevin Garnett arrived. But, my passion lies with hockey. Combine that with a love of writing, and it should be pretty apparent this job is truly a dream come true.

To prove his point, Carlo removes his t-shirt and my jaw literally drops. This is one fine male specimen before me. "Go ahead, try and find some fat". As I run my fingers along his torso, I admit I can't find an ounce of fat on the guy. Carlo smiles "Nice huh?" and I have to admit that yes, I am VERY impressed

"I play the game the right way." - I didn't realize throwing your glove at a player on a breakaway was playing the game the right way.

"That's how I play, and that's how I have to play to be effective." - You mean like the time you ran Fleury on the shootout and didn't even get a shot off? Cuz that was REALLY effective.

"I like to chirp a little bit" - ....and cry too...remember that tantrum you threw on the bench after getting scored against in the shootout? The GIF of that is simply hilarious. I've never seen a grown man literally cry and throw himself around the bench in a tantrum like manner.

The fact of the matter is, Hartnell absolutely jumped Letang from behind and forced him into a fight. Letang was standing there looking at Richards in the net and Hartnell comes flying in and grabs him and pulls him down from behind. If I were Letang I would have face washed him too, what other defense do you have when you get jumped from behind?

Secondly, Letang acted VERY quickly in getting off the ice because of the matter and I doubt during his pain that he immediately thought "I'm gonna make up a lie and say Hartnell bit me!!" ...the coaching staff woudln't have immediately called over an official either.

Thirdly, an interview with Kypreos on Sportsnet Hockey at noon had him talking about the time he bit someone in junior. Kypreos wouldn't admit it at the time, and said Hartnell did the proper thing, you NEVER admit you did it. Obviously Nick believes Letang too. Letang's interview was a thing of beauty, staying mature and just telling the media to ask Hartnell if he did, he knows the answer, and I'd like to hear his answer. Letang is the bigger man, he won't drag this out in the media, he's over it. He knows Hartnell is an idiot and he knows EVERYONE knows that, so he'll just let it go. No use trying to convince people of something they already know.

people can be cruel without knowing ANY of the facts because people can be sheep led my a sensationalistic world. Julie's life outside of hockeybuzz has ZERO to do with her work on hockeybuzz. I did not "make" Julie. I gave her an opportunity and she has worked amazingly hard to get to where she is.

Some people here can be gossiping little grandmothers who LOVE to hate. Julie is not that kind of person and yet it makes you all feel like big men because you can go at her from a distance based on something that you know NOTHING about. May someone never come into your world with one of your family members and slander them.

After a summer of outstanding additions without subtraction in Toronto, the addition of college stars like Bozak, the building of the best defense in the division (if not the Conference), and now the addition of star foward Phil Kessel, are the Maple Leafs a playoff team?

It may sound like a longshot to you, but as bad as fans sometimes wanted the Leafs to be last year as visions of Tavares danced in their heads, the Leafs were never THAT bad.

The Leafs finished 12 points out of a playoff spot last year, but for much of the second half they dangled between 4 and 8 points out...

It is hard to imagine with the team's improvements that they won't be able to score a few more goals, stop a few more goals and win maybe 4-6 more games.
