I honestly do not care if I get a lifetime ban here:

GO (frank) YOURSELF...

You are a (frank)ing wussy plain and simple. Saying I am making it up that my mom passed away. That alone makes you the biggest (frank)ing loser to ever be born. God I wish I could meet you in real life. I really do. I would beat the living poop out of you for that statement, questioning my mother dying. I pray that karma comes your way so soon. And one thing is for sure, you would never question someones mother being dead in person because you know your someone who is attracted to the opposite sex ass would get beaten to a pulp!...

YOU (frank)ING wussy!!!!!!

This ban comes to you from Boston, Mass.

Just like to mention I fought in a fairly pointless war and saw some stupid crap so Cheney's company could steal money from you. Americans need jobs....Hire one pay him 60k and then bring in a bunch of Indians and Philipinoes and work eighty or more hours and pay them $120. That'll make'em feel rich. Well charge the tax payed $200 a plate. Man if you saw some of the stuff I saw....make sure we sell the Iraqis new guns and night vision equipment. Hey Sgt my NODs are broke again, my paq4's busted and why's Lou carrying an M-16 when we all have M-4s???? Bush: Blackwater's great. It saves the tax payers tons f money ha huh. We don't have to pay to train those guys... Meanwhile another ten SF soldiers are being offered $140K tax free for a year at Blackwater while the army offers them almost half. Recruiters we need more SF soldiers why are we so short? Oh you mean it cost over ten million dollars to train one of those guys. No biggie my buddy's raking in the deniro while the dumb American public thinks they're saving money. Mr. President sir we have to find a way to keep some of the SF vets otherwise we won't have enough senior....We'll give them $100K bonuses tax free for re-enlisting. What the American public doesn't like us extending their kid's past their initial contract? We'll activate the Inactive Reserve. We'll call an emergency so we can get away with it. WhewMr. President I thought for a second you were going to say a draft was needed. We won't be able to get your family's wells back if you say the word draft, that'll be the end of it. My buddy gets his offer for medical retirement the other day. 40%. He has over 60% metal in one of his legs and uses a cane to hobble around.... another buddy of mine has one leg. He was offered 50%....

So let's talk about right and left......Can't help you. Listen to the emdia, watch the news. They'll say 120 injured 43 dead from an explosion. Oh wait I was there. It hit the newspaper building a car bomb. Briefing: Col., "Men you've read and watched the news and heard the numbers. The actual casualties taken were eleven and three died from that blast..." Keep checking the news and no editorial. Just imagine if you knew sensitive things.....

My unit gets extended half enroute back home after a year away. A plane lands in Fairbanks,AK. Families hugging and kissing, crying happy sad, angry and happy with relief. Men. Say good bye to your families. We got to get back on the bird and head back, our country needs us. All right sir, haha that's funny. No seriously. Say your good byes. Privates scrambling around through the bags back in, inventories being taken......
Two weeks later Richard Cheney comes to Alaska to talk to the wives. Wife asks Richard, "Sir will my husband be home by Christmas?" Richard: Do I look like Santa Claus. They knew what they were getting into when they signed on the dotted line.... Soldier: Mr. Rumsfeld sir, we need better arored vehicles we'reusing scrap and welding it onto vehicles to try to stay alive out there. Rumsfeld:.... I'm tired of this. Last time I'll say it. I capsulized it. You really have no idea how much money and how things are done. How they always end up creating waste that goes into military-industrial complex's hands. Of course Gen. Eisenhower was called a communist by the John Birch society one of whom's memebers was the Koch brothers' father. Teh Koch brothers who fund tea party meetings, think groups and lobby heavily against government regulation on the oil industry. One of the top ten polluters in thsi country holy crap it's the Koch brothers' company! Only two people richer in the country. Seriously....I'm barely touching the edges. Yet apparently a drunk homeless man gets cleaned up and it's the old can me teach this criton manners play....While I was homeless trying to help my family drinking our home away, I was collecting welfare. But welfare is a socialist evil. Okay Beck whatever. I'm waiting for the day when that clown comes out and puts a shot gun in his own mouth and just before he pulls the trigger he says I can't take the Wizard of Oz dreams and the damn chalk board keeps talking to me. I was watching the forty-forty club the other day and they undentified the beast of revelation and it was...ME BOOOM.

Anyone else see the irony in these predictions by the Leaf Captain? LOL

It's the same thing, year after bloody year.

It's like the swallows returning to Capistrano, except in this case it's Leafs Nation being expected to swallow a load of crap.

Some veteran Leafs player, or someone in the front office, says something about how making the playoffs is the team's goal and anything else is "unacceptable", and then the dopey fans and the Toronto media salivate like the barking dogs that they are -- a certain tabloid publication included.

This year it's captain Dion Phaneuf sticking his neck out ...

"We're definitely a playoff team," Phaneuf said. "Our goal at the start of this season is to make the playoffs. Anything short of that is unacceptable."

Wow.

So bold.

So brash.

Such confidence.

Such bulls--t.

And then you get the Leafs' GM, Brian Burke, responding to his captain's statement with: "For a player to say that, I think it's great."

Why is it great?

It's what is expected.

What is Phaneuf supposed to say? Is he supposed to say: "Our team is young and shockingly inept upfront, and it will be a miracle if we improve on our 29th-place finish from last season."

In other words, speak the truth?

The bottom line is, Phaneuf statement's means nothing. And the reason it means nothing is, when it's all is said and done, he won't be held accountable.

Because he didn't say anything ... despite the hype.

And at the end of the year, when the Leafs are dusting off their golf clubs, again, no one will be sent to the poor house and no player will be heckled when he walks out his front door in the morning.

Sure, some radio or TV clown will remind Phaneuf of his "we're definitely a playoff team" quote when the Leafs hold their annual 'Pack Up and Whimper Day' when the regular season ends and they're getting ready to high-tail it home.

All the boys, including Phaneuf, will express their deep disappointment and remorse.

And then, nothing.

Yes, the players all feel shame and dismay, at least officially -- especially when some myron is sticking a microphone in their face.

That's how it always works.

After the final regular-season game, and the Leafs are on the outside looking in, again, the players will all stand in the dressing room like a bunch of mopes, put on their sad faces, and then spew off their rehearsed lines about how hurt they all are and how they owe more to the fans, blah, blah.

And then they'll hop in their Lamborghinis and Ferraris and take off for the Bahamas or San Marino (probably in an airplane) and feel shame and remorse on a beach, while sipping those drinks with the umbrellas -- all the while sappy Leafs diehards in Woodbridge and Long Branch, who make as much money in a year as Phaneuf and his ilk make in a week, spend April and May watching the Habs win playoff games, and the summer brooding and losing hair and popping high blood pressure medication.

"Anything short of (making the playoffs) is unacceptable".

Give me a break.

Who cares what Phaneuf says weeks before training camp.

Go out there and score some goals.

Make a decent outlet pass.

Hit people consistently.

Drop the mitts more often.

Get into the playoffs first, and then say stuff.

Players are all programmed now to make these so-called bold statements that ultimately mean nothing.

Phaneuf's words look good in the paper and sound good on the squawk box. But basically he's saying nothing, and nobody should buy into it.

If Phaneuf was really sincere and confident, he'd make one of those guarantees that we all enjoy.

Something like: "If we don't make the playoffs, I'll resign as captain."

Or, "If we don't make the playoffs, I'll take a 10% cut in pay."

I'm sure his agent will go for that in a big way.

Look, it's easy to say that we're a playoff team and missing the playoffs is unacceptable. But if you're not putting anything on the line, who cares?

It's all a game.

Feed the barking media and the great unwashed a dried eggshell or two and they'll lap it up like it's caviar.

Trust me, if the Leafs fail to make the playoffs this season, as I suspect they will (even though, believe it or not, I would love it if they did qualify for the post-season), nobody will commit hari-kari.

And well they shouldn't.

But hey, back it up.

Put something on the line.
