up until this season started, this was considered a really weak draft outside of Hall and Fowler.

Fowler fell of, Seguin poured it on, and everyone else got hyped up. Honestly, even if the Leafs got a 1st round pick, there are only a few guys I'd be interested in- Connolly, Nino, and Knight(not even a projected 1st rounder)... the first two are tough LWs, and Knight works well with Kadri.... and even of those guys, the only one I see as a top liner is Connolly, but he's got some health issues.

Other than that, nadda. Very little of interest.

And I'm not just saying this because the Leafs traded for Kessel... I was saying this when the rumours first came up, defending the idea. I didn't think they'd finish as low as they did, but I honestly don't have a huge problem with what was given up. I honestly don't believe either Hall or Seguin will be on a much higher level than Kessel, if at all. And that's not a knock on them either,that's still a very high level of player.
