Duh, Chabot is #3 on best prospect list. 4 Sens on the list. 0 Leafs. But what matters is the Sens went to the ECF. The Leafs did not.

Score 1 for me Score 0 for you.

It's exactly what you have done all summer in regards to Chabot and Harpur. Yet now that there's a list that favours the Leafs it's a precursor to failure.

Does the hypocrisy never get tiring for you?

- BetterCallSaul

It's hilarious that he can't see it.

Also "suckered in last year" ๐Ÿ˜‚Ok, I'll take what happened last year if that means being suckered

I think he is in the bottom 1/4 of the league now for sure, Detroit was good at taking advantage of market inefficiencies 20 years ago but the rest of the league has caught up and passed them in many regards now.

Telling part of a story is much the same as an outright lie. Leafs had eight rookies on their team last year, four of which produced record results. Because they no longer qualify for your list, but are part of the future of the organization you omited this fact. Chabot is a strong prospect - as is Liljegren - both d-men picked around the same spot. Please remember prospects are not sure things - Ottawa drafted giant bust Daigle (first overall) and traded for Redden when Berard refused to sign with the Sens. Both those players were rated much higher than Chabot and had poor NHL careers. Finally, the Leafs prospect pool was rated 13th best in the NHL - down from 1st the previous year because all their young players are already producing significantly in the NHL. Ottawa was rated 12th despite having an old team with few players of much value under 25 years of age. Remember to tell the whole truth!

It this kind of stuff that sets you up for the big fail. All the same things said last year. You guys get suckered every year. Same old, same old.

Dorion was finalist for the GM of the year just three months ago.

Too funny..

- spatso

I think thats great and gets him some extra time as Sens GM because I dont think he is very good either.
He just doesnt come off as a foward thinking GM and too old school for my liking.
Dellow wrote a piece on the Sens with some quotes from him on Boro..whatever his name is

Its interesting the divide between the GMs thinking and his own stats people

Dont know who can read it but here is some

Dorion
I want to punch our analytics people on a daily basis because when they come to me with stuff that when they tell me Boro's no good, I say โ€œWhy don't you go on the ice with Boro and tell me how much fun it is to get hit ten times in a row?โ€ Guys go the other way sometimes, but analytics can't tell you that.

Dellow
It's pretty easy to imagine what the analytics people in Ottawa might be saying about Borowiecki that brings the general manager to the brink of violence. They would say, possibly with a large piece of furniture between themselves and Dorion, โ€œWell Pierre, we get out-shot when he's on the ice. We get out-scored. The coaches don't really trust him to play against anyone good and there are third pairing defencemen in the NHL whose teams don't get pounded when they're on the ice. As a result, he's a drain on our results and we're a fringe playoff team that can't afford the luxury of a guy who hits people but doesn't get results. It's nice that guys go the the other way sometimes to avoid him but on balance, we're bad when he's on the ice so that's irrelevant.โ€

What has he done after a couple VERY fortunate draft picks in Datsyuk and Zetterberg.

Take away those two players in their prime and that organization is a mess.

I don't need advanced stats to tell me every year there is less and less room in the game for guys like Borowiecki (or however it is spelled).

but Hey, if Dorion wants to start putting value on guys like that... who are we to complain.

The 4th best rookie prospect we had last year put up 20 goals. White *MAY* be that good, but lets not forget that Vesey outscored him in college.

FOURTH BEST.

As for Chabot, we have Liljegren. He missed most of a year with Mono, but before that he was a consensus 1/1A overall. He would have been on the list. Dermott put up his numbers in the AHL, not the ass-end of junior. None of us know what the 2 Swede dmen are capable of, but they were coveted by a lot of teams.

I don't know when Spazzo's list was published (almost certainly within the last 12 years, since Sens history apparently does't exist before that). I would think there would be some Leafs on it now.

The Senators have never had a rookie class like the leafs had last year, in fact, only ONE rookie class was ever comparable in the history of the NHL.

So, if the cupboard is not quite as stocked as it was 2 years ago, I can live with the Senators prospect summer talk.

spazzo is recycling the same tired posts. going back to button's list again.

the same craig button that only draft 1st round busts as an actual gm in the nhl. spazzo is actually stupid enough to be relying on that guy's advice.

A list is simply a list.

You guys are all excited about a list of GM's that places Dorion near the Boston of the list because of his drafting. Dorion is the guy that begged the Sens to take Karlsson. He picked Chabot. He picked my favorite player Pageau. This is a list that puts Chiarelli near the bottom. He who picked McDavid and Draisaitl, the two best young players on the same team. This is the media hype. They pander to the eyeballs of gullible Leaf fans. Seen it all before.

Are you that high? What exacty is the "Boston of a List"? - Classic Spatso

Chiarelli was hired well after Draisaitl was drafted and bozzo the clown would have selected McDavid in 2015. You are digging a hole that appears to be a bottom-less pit in the depths of stupidity here.

Some selections on the list can be argued a little, for me, Sakic is worse than rated and Polile is rated higher than he should. Chiarelli is putrid as evidenced by him trading Doug Hamilton and Tyler Seguin for close to zero return. In addition, he traded Hall for a mediocre at best, d-man. He's a lousy GM

Chiarelli didn't draft draisaitl you (frank)ing dolt. Chia hired April 2015, draisaitl drafted in 2014.

How does he deserve credit for drafting mcdavid? That's automatic.

You are so pathetic, it's hilarious. You can't even write something without trying to make up something to cover your hatred. It's so painfully obvious. What on earth does the leaf fans have to do with a list made by someone else? So (frank)ing stupid. When it suits you it's a fantastic list, but when it's against you it's just hokey list pandering to dumb leaf fans. Ridiculous.
