Don't expect logic from any of these guys. A 50 year history of chronic losing, the Leafs have a nice year and they start talking dynasty. It so easy to laugh at them when they fail.

Please explain what stats you're using to make the claim that Karlsson is "bad defensively" .......... and where he ranks defensively, compared to other offensive type D men in the NHL.

Thanks

EDIT: It's been an hour ...............crickets

- D0PPELGANGER

Watch him. He is not good in his own end. Nor is Liljegrin right now. They hand the puck to the other team. The other team skates around them for quality scoring opportunities.

Karlsson is an excellent rover. Best in the league. Doesn't mean he's infallible. And his shortcoming is clearly and obviously, defense.

Seriously, bud? You try to chrip me for not responding after an hour? Get a life. I got other poop to do than talk on here all day. Meanwhile, you've been called out literal hundreds of times in this blog and always sidestep your retardism and say another moronic thing instead.

Great articles on just how complete a Dman Karlsson is. Your Leaf jealousy is on display this morning.

Oh, yeah. It's "jealousy" to say that a guy who isn't good defensively, isn't good defensively.

And the word you're looking for is envious, not jealous.

You seem obsessed with this 28th pick thing .................are you suggesting the Sens should have thrown games at the end of the season, in order not to make the playoffs, and maybe win the lottery?

Or perhaps you think that players don't like winning in the playoffs, and should just throw a series, so the team can pick a higher first rounder?

Would you have not enjoyed watching the leafs, playing more than one round in the playoffs ........... and would you have been pissed off that they lowered the teams drafting position?

Lauding the 28th pick over Sens fans doesn't bother us, we saw our team play nineteen playoff games this spring ...............are you suggesting you would not have wanted to see the leafs play nineteen or more playoff games????

Senators played 19 playoff games, just this past spring ............. the leafs have only played 13 since the lock out .........twelve years ago.

Literally everything listed here is a symptom of the other team having the puck more often.
- Feeling Glucky?

And when the other team has the puck, you need good defense men ..... right? Or should the NHL change the position to Offense men?

Or, are you saying that Brent Burns is worse defensively than Karlsson?

No I prefer jealousy as accuratey describing most Leaf fans feelings. So much of the animus that Leaf fans feels are rooted in nearly two full generation of losses and incompetence. Leaf fans seem to resent everyone else's success. We can already see the bitterness growing towards the young Oilers...certainly this is jealousy incubated in 50 years of failing.

Very helpful. Why do Leaf fans focus on wanting to highlight failings of others. Just a couple of years ago all the Leaf fans were constantly comparing themselves with the Oilers and their struggles. Now the young Oilers are like Kryptonite to most Leaf fans.

Most Canadian hockey really enjoyed the Sens run to the Stanley Cup semi-finals. Leaf fans were the exception. Their hostility over the Sens great success is more about their failing then the Sens progress.

Even in a rookie game where the kids on both sides put on a good show, Leaf fans are bitter because they cannot cope with losing. Repeat and recycle again.

I tried bolding the parts that didn't make sense, and mock them, but I found it easier to bold the parts that did.

Now this is a step up. Well done!

Most of the Leaf posters on this thread are limited to name calling as their foundational reasoning.

Perhaps. I try not. I think I focus on the hubris of Leaf fans who have celebrated failure for 50 years in the belief that they have actually been at the centre of what is succeeding in the hockey world.

This may hurt your chances of getting back to the same place.

Yes. This is correct. I have seen one report suggesting that it might be mid-November before he returns. If so, dramatically changes outlook on season.

That's simply not true. Most hockey fans, Canadian and American, enjoyed none of the Sens run because they played exceptionally boring hockey.

You watch other series where it's fast paced nonstop action, and then the Sens come on and you're bored to death.

Hell. Even all Sens fans didn't like it, seeing as how they couldn't even sell out playoff games. That's why they're removing 1500 seats. To try and be less of a national embarrassment.
