You forgot the $1.5m for hammond

- Tumbleweed

Ottawa has no problem burying his salary in the minors........ plus he is an insurance policy if one the two Ottawa goaltenders are out of the line up for whatever reason.

the leafs bury salaries in the minors, and it seems to be the best thing in the world, according to leaf fans like yourself ....... $1.5M for Hammond is chicken feed compared to $6Million the leas are going to pay Nathan Horton this season, not to play for the leafs, and the $3.75 Million being paid to Lupul to do the same.

Andersen cap hit is 4.2mil and condon just signed for 2.4mil a year?

- burn

No, you're wrong again .......... 2.4 is the Cap hit, Cap hit does not matter to Ottawa, the actual money per season does.

I know it's hard to wrap your head around the difference between the two.

Condon is being paid $1.7 / 2.5 / 3.0 for and average of 2.4 aka Cap hit.

Also Andersen's Cap hit is the same as his yearly salary ... he signed for $5Million per season for 5 years ............ it was in all the toronto papers.

Sens are paying 3 goalies 6.3 mil, and an 8 mil cap hit

That was a good try though

- senstroll

Another trollonto fan that does not grasp the fact that Cap Hit does not Matter in Ottawa ......... actual dollars being paid out matters.

That may change in a few years, but for the past decade, Cap Hit is not a factor when your team is well below the Cap ceiling.

It's math, and even I can understand this.

It matters if they're trying to win the cup.

That's never been the goal in Ottawa, and the fans know it, which is why they'd rather save up for CFL preseason games than buy tickets to watch a team go no where.

- Feeling Glucky?

And what does that say about the intelligence level of leaf fans for the past 50 years? Can you honestly say that the leafs were trying every single year to win the Cup?

Trying to explain cap hit to someone who already pointd it out. Gold.

What will you say in 3 years when your backup is being paid 3mil? Refer to his cap hit?

Thank you for telling me about Andersen cap hit and salary, after I told you want it was.

I gave you both the $ and cap hits which are both more than the Leafs are paying for goalies.. which was your point ..you are lost

Cap hit matters more than the $ if winning the cup is important to your team.

Managing the cap properly and not overpaying players like Dion is more important if you are the sens

Anderson is only going to play a season or two before he retires.

Don't think Condon is the long term answer as a starter. But, he is a great signing for the next few transition years.

How much are they paying Phaneuf Ryan Smith and MacArthur (Although looks like he will retire)

How much will Karlsson cost

How much will Melnyk spend

The leaf have only one goaltender signed to a NHL contract, not "goalies" .......... so yes, comparing 3 goaltenders signed by the Senators, to NHL contracts is an excellent comparison.

I guess you believe what you want to believe. Ottawa was close to the cap at the end of the regular season.

Ottawa decided to invest in a solid back up when they signed Condon.

Funny how you disparaged the signings that Dorion made coming up to deadline last year. But you all disappeared when the Sens went deeper and deeper into playoffs.

No veteran was more important to the Sens playoff run than Phaneuf.

- spatso

No, actually not all of us did disappear.

Funny how you disappeared when your ridiculous posts from the past proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what an idiot you are.

Amazing how you can even show your face around here with all the stupid poop you have posted.

I imagine the Leafs goalie will come in at less cap hit than the Sens goalies, yet YOU brought up the whole "who is the Leafs backup" thing.

Why the F were you even going there? What do you think you are proving, particularly when your numbers were wrong.

How can you and Spatso be anything but humiliated at this point.

I quote you about the sens goalies, and posted their cap hits. If you can't understand that you really are a (frank)ing moron.

Andersen? Anderson? Ever heard of autocorrect? My iPad changed it becuase I always type Andersen becuase he's the leafs goalie. I rarely mention Anderson becuase who cares.....
