Binghamton Senators, fourth best record in the AHL, over flowing with prospects.

Just noticed the Leafs are the only non wildcard playoff team with a negative goal differential. Is this a cause for concern?

Honestly don't know too much about it.

I notice the Marlies record is good, but that's about all.

Noticed McKegg (?) last Saturday, but did not play much.

Would welcome your assessment if you wanted to enlighten me.

Pretty good depth at all positions. Rielly is obviously the gem of the bunch, but Holland, Leivo, D'Amigo have all looked good in both the NHL and AHL this season. Verhaege, Finn, Andersson, and Brown have been outstanding in their leagues... so far they seem to be outpacing where they were drafted, but we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks.
Do you get to see the Marlies play?
Are their games available on local TV?

Ottawa has been on a hot streak, was 5 points back Of Toronto on Dec 20th.
1 month later after playing much better have climbed all the way up to 4 points back Of Toronto

- senstroll

And today they're 5 points back, with one game in hand, so basically the same gap.

Realistically the Senators only have a shot at the last wild-card spot at best. But with six teams in total competing for that last spot, it's going to come down to the last night of the season.

BTW
Did you know that the Points earned last night in St Louis, were the first Points earned in St Louis, by a visiting Eastern Conference team this season?

The refereeing was pretty poor last night, highlighted by none of the refs seeing the puck enter the net, for a goal, until players during a TV time out, pointed it out to them.

Just wondering how the leafs record with David Clarkson back in the line up last night stand. I seem to remember you had them around 5 wins and 15 losses??

Hockey's furture is a joke.... Verhaege #6 on leafs Center list??? Brown #6 RW??? They don't even know where the players are playing..... They think Herzog is playing in Europe. They have no more knowledge as the average joe (and I'd question that even based on what I see there).

It's a brilliant idea for a site but they just don't update it enough post draft.

It gives me an idea of how others see the leafs prospect without the Homer bias.
I dont swear by it, but like to look at the lists

remember when Hodgson and Schenn were the best prospects in the world?

edit: Justin Schultz is above Morgan Rielly right now.

Let that sink in.

I like it because it gathers all them together... one stop shop. But if they don't even know where the players are playing how much stock can youput in it. How much do they really know.

This is true... but do you see how many Oiler prospects are in the top-50? It's madness

I think they buy into hype as much as anyone else.

I also think they don't follow their own rating system... an 8+ is supposed to be a first liner/top pairing/starter goalie, a 7 is a 2nd liner, etc...

They have Gauthier ranked as 7.5. That means they expect him to be a top-6 center in the NHL...

The guy was drafted to be a shut-down 3rd line center. Draft pick blindness.

There's a lot of hype riding on that site for sure, but for a ranking at the beginning of the year having Yaks, Schultz, Nurse and Klefbom there isn't that inflammatory is it?
