The depth of this Leafs team is insane. Put any focus on one line, and the other 3 will burn you.

Andersen is carrying this team. Take him out and the Leafs are a lottery team.

Are you serious.

Do you have any idea how accurate I have been for the last 10 years?

Year after year, I have nailed it.

More games have already gone to overtime than all of the first round last year.

- This has become the Erik Karlsson Series. You really can’t say enough about the way that the Ottawa captain has moved the puck and made countless incredible plays for his team. That Hail Mary pass to Mike Hoffman in the first period was just straight-up bonkers. He nearly pulled off another gorgeous assist before the period was over, too, and would have had it had it not been for a two-pad stack from Rask. Still, the Bruins cannot contain this guy and they’re not even close, really, as the space given to Karlsson when the Bruins chased him behind the net on the Sens’ overtime power play showed that.

“Erik has done that all year long. What’s great is that, those are the highlights, but if you look at his defensive game, it’s been unbelievable all year long. And to me, he’s equally as good now on both sides of the ice,” Sens coach Guy Boucher said. “And his leadership, even tonight, people talk about his leadership the previous game because he got a little loud on one of the goals. But his leadership today was right on and he was very calm after the other team tied the game. He was very calm between the second and third and you saw his calm play calmed everybody down also on the ice.”

"Austin Matthews (the best player on any Ontario based hockey team) scored a goal and added an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs (the best hockey team in Ontario) beat the Stanley cup favourite Washington capitals 4 to 3, to take a 2 to 1 series lead"

I'll bet you're of the same mindset as Jeff O'Neill: who went on the record a number of weeks ago and stated: "I wouldn't trade Matthews for McDavid or Crosby"

mcdacid is a no brainer. Crosby not so much. he's obviously better, him and mcdacid are by far the best two players in the league. but a cost co trolled Austin Matthews at 29 years old? vs a 30 year old Crosby (not sure how long his contract is) that has had injury issues forward now? is really have to think about that.

When talking about the playoffs, and then trying to spin a negative by adding Regulation wins and OT together is laughable.

The only true comparison is Regulation wins A.K.A 5 vs 5.

The Bruins have the edge in Regulation wins 38 - 34 over the Sens.

While the crapple laffs had 33 Regulation wins, vs the Capitals 45.

The crapple laffs only managed to squeak into the plays, on the strength of there loser points.

The loser points leader leafs finished with fewer Wins, than the two teams behind them in the Conference............ so failure to win in overtime and shootouts is what propelled the crapple laffs into the playoffs.

Good luck vs the Capitals.

I don't agree with this mindset either. though the crappie laffs was a good touch to your meltdown.

Great hockey!

Wild game in Boston.

Most people in Ottawa know how great a player Karlsson has become at both ends of the ice. But it is neat to hear Boston reporters making the Bobby Orr comparisons. Boston/Ottawa was the NBC game last night and they made "the pass" the feature of the night.

Great entertainment.

no meltdown buddy, just reciprocating prock's little touch.

Huummmmmm, fancy boy stats still seem to see Ottawa's chances of advancing to the second round, just a little higher than the leafs ............... so both teams in good shape as of today .................. I'm still maintaining that Ottawa vs Boston is still a 50/50 series, even with the Senators holding a one game lead ............. they just seem to be unable to stop with their self inflicted mistakes, that always seem to end up in their own Net.

I now see the leafs vs Captails series as pretty close to a 50/50 series now ........

I thought the Leafs were a bad match for the Caps. The Caps are big and physical and like to wear down the other team. But you cannot tire out teenagers. And the Leafs skate too well for the Caps to grind on. You can't hit what you can't catch. What I have seen of the Leaf series so far they seem to be initiating most of the hitting.

Yeah, I think the leafs OT GWG was also a PPG ..... in fact the leafs were gifted 4 PPs in the third, so did your fancy boy stats account for that too?
