"The Raptors are a bad second half team" - says the fan of a one team city too garbage to have anything else (and be any good in that one team).

Of note - the Raptors finished last season with 4 straight wins, and 14 wins in their last 20 games. They were one of the best teams in the NBA down the stretch.

You're a complete and utter retard.

- prock

So lad the raptors won some games in the 2nd half last season........should really help their struggles this year.

Poor prock......so rattled and bitter. Having another trumpish meltdown.

yeah, rattled. You just called one of the most successful teams down the stretch of last season "a bad second half team".

You should be ashamed of yourself. If you ever find your whore mother, tell her she failed big time.

I think his point is that the only 3 nhl level dman the Leafs have are on lyrics slightly better than 3 of the worst dmen the oil have had in the last decade (and who wouldn't sniff their roster righr now).

The Leafs D is EASILY as bad as the oilers were in their worst days

- sensarmy_11

Ehhhh that's a big statement. Our D was really bad at one point. I mean BAD.

NBA sucks. Everyone already knows that a Warriors-Cavs final is pretty much set. The lack of suspense just sucks.

I think they're quite easily better than those teams. They're not that bad today, FFS. And getting better. We already dumped Phaneuf. That's a massive improvement.

Not a basketball fan myself either. But, you must admit, the Raptors are a pretty damn successful team in recent years, which is not easy for the only Canadian franchise in the league (along with baseball).

edit - admittedly, I hear there are people in Saskatchewan and Edmonton that follow the CFL, but honestly, it's not on the radar here. No one cares. It's a bush league small town league.

I love seeing the Raps do well, as the TO fanbase shows up huge for them. I just hate that two teams are stacked to the point that no one else has a chance. I mean I thought TO might have a chance last year to upset...Until the Cavs started trying again and obliterated them. LeBron is a nightmare. When he puts in 100% he's unstoppable.

Actually, you said

Raptors have been one of the worst 2nd half teams in the entire NBA

which, given the point of the season we are in, I would assume means an established pattern. Instead, you're speaking of the last 15 or 20 games?

Do those 20 games mean "bad second half team"? Or is it a ski? (that I didn't even know they were on) And in fact, they've won 5 of their last 7. So, I guess what you're referring to is about a 10 game span?

Jeez, you really are stupid.

And this year they have been awful......went from being very comfortably in 2nd to being 1 game up on 5th......in less than 6 weeks.

Collapsing.......that's what rolling Stone magazine should write about when discussing toronto sports teams.

No, not really. The original 6 had the best players in the world, spread across only 6 teams.

A CFL team would get creamed against an NHL team. I don't even know if they'd beat the top college teams.

Hahahahahaha, You're so butthurt.

I think this in part stems from no one caring about Ottawa. This is common among Sens fans. Complaining about broadcasts being on the Leafs more than the Sens, the Leafs being first on the evening sports news all the time. Always crying about things like this.

But let's be honest, the Sens can't even get Sens fans to their games. If no one in Ottawa gives a poop about the half assed team, why would anyone outside the city? You have no one but yourselves to blame for being such a joke.

You should look to your team and your fans first, when wondering why you're not taken seriously.

the NHL had the best players in the world. Not just Canada.

When you talk of hockey history, you talk of the NHL. When you talk of football history, the CFL is a footnote.

Mike Hoffman was an "AHLer" until he was 25 years old, before moving up to the NHL full-time ..........
- D0PPELGANGER

Yes. Which was one of the arguments we used when pointing out that Ottawa's once successful AHL team did not correlate to an overly bright future, because it was driven by overages like Hoffman.

Seriously, Dion Phaneuf has played really well for the Sens. Boucher loves what he does on the ice and in the player's room. Sens have been really succesful in reducing their GA over last year and Phaneuf is the only change on the back end.

I think the Leaf fans really struggle with the idea that they were smoked in trade, badly. But, just because the trade has worked so well for the Sens, it does not mean it was not a good deal for the Leafs for where they are in their overall development.
