the sens are garbage. put in your big boy pants and face that.
- prock

Ottawa currently has the 6th best record in the NHL, and the leafs have the 19th best record............... so they must be worse than garbage, based on your logic.

You won't even consider the downfalls and negatives the Brassard and Phaneuf deals bring with them. .

Don't see much of them. But my point isn't for everyone to be objective. It's simply to call out Spatso and his unwillingness to do it while trolling the Leafs about it. I was just making my point.

So now you're changing the meaning of what you've based your whole narrative on for the past couple of months?

"Win Now" only means winning the Cup.

- D0PPELGANGER

Also means going all on to make the playoffs. You know, by winning games now.

I am wonderfully and gracefully objective. Always have been. It does not make me less objective merely because you or other koolaid drinkers think differently.

So for the past couple of months, when you've be claiming the Senators were in "win now mode", you really meant they've been trying to make the playoffs???

So why didn't you just say that?

Never mind, I've read enough of your spin, backtracking and weak attempts of face-saving .................. you've been caught with your false narrative, and you've been pushing it as if it was true ........... the Citizen article I posted earlier proved you to have been 100% wrong all along.

And this goes for the tang drinking comments you make when it comes to Matthews...or more specifically. .Laine.

I've always said the Sens are in win now mode. Never suggested anything different. They're trying to make the playoffs and through that win a cup. Nothing has changed and I've never said anything different. Feel free to quote me otherwise instead of just making poop up. I await the post yoy produce that has me saying the Sens are rebuilding. They're in win now mode and the moves they made isn't going to get them far.

Better than I thought but so much season left. Leafs are doing better than you thought so I guess all is good in hockey land. Still a little under 75% of the season left should be interesting

I do try to defend your hockey knowledge. But you need to stop every once and awhile and clean up your act.
- spatso

or doest really require hockey knowledge to decipher.....

the last few cup winners have had centres like toews, Crosby, malkin, kopitar, etc. and Ottawa had kyle (frank)ing turris. lol.

the last few cup winners had elite wingers like Hossa, kunitz, Carter. Ottawa has bobby ryan. lol.

defense. the last few cup champsugar had two way beasts like Chara, keith, doughty. Ottawa has none of this.

goalies? whatever

Never been negative about the Habs. I was very young when my father brought me (on a chartered bus) to my very first NHL game. There were several buses arranged by Ottawa postal workers including some kids and other family members.

I remember the electricity in the Forum every time Guy Lafleur touched the puck. I was a Leaf fan and wore a Leaf sweater to the game even though Les Canadiens were playing Boston.

My father was not a hockey fan. He only went on the trip to bring me to see my first game. I played a lot of hockey up until the beginning of midget age when it quickly became apparent I was a combination of too slow, too small and too weak to effectively participate at that level. My father attended all my games he drove to every tournament and event I played in. But my favourite hockey memory of him was his taking me to my very first NHL game at the Montreal Forum.

Turris is a great #2 on any team in the league. He has 10 goals, including multiple game winners. But there is no doubt he would benefit enormously if he got to play behind a big horse in the middle. Ottawa has Colin White and Logan Brown coming in their system. Colin White has the same size and game as Turris. He should have played in the NHL this year. Ottawa has said he will sign and play in Ottawa this season as soon as his Boston College season has been completed. Logan Brown had an amazing start to his season but injured his wrist and has been out a very long stretch.

Karlsson will win the Norris this year. He has never played better and his defensive play has been unbelievably strong. He leads the league in blocked shots on a team that is playing strong defensive hockey. And, as he always does, he will pull away from the rest of defensive pack in scoring in the second half of the season.

Karlsson needs to win a Stanley Cup to secure his legacy as a Hall of Fame premier attraction (every past 2 time Norris winner has been a 1st ballot inductee). Ottawa is having a great season playing a very strong defensive game and Karlsson still remains Ottawa's leading scorer, a remarkable talent.

Duh! Give your head a shake. Leafs are in 13th place.

Scoreboard and standings matter.

By Christmas (every year) the standings will tell us the top 12 teams in the NHL that will make the playoffs and the 10 that will fight for the last 4 spots. The Leafs will have done "better than I thought" if they put themselves in the group of 10 fighting for a post season berth. I did expect that they would be in the group of 8 speculating on the best picks in the upcoming amateur draft.

Tehee!

You just make this way too easy. The Leafs are 13th in the conference and 25th overall. They are farther away from the Sens (7 pts) than the the last place Avalanche (6 its).

So your comeback to being proved wrong is to agree that you're wrong, and take pride in the fact that your team, that has mortgaged its future for the current assembly of mediocrity is only 4 games ahead of a team with 6 rookies on roster?
