So Melnyk is still trying to block Leaf fans at games?

Hi lighting "leaf fan" repeatedly to try to show blame is rather lame.

Takes two to tango. This isn't a sucker punch of an innocent or something.

"Senator", "Sens" and Ottawa is highlighted just as often as "leafs" and "toronto".

Stop trying to stir the pot.................or is that your intention, just like the fan in the video that was stirring the pot to get things started?

It's the same thing in Montreal when Toronto is in town. Drink all day, go to the game at night, fight.

Hear this "rowdy" behaviour also happens at Sabre/leaf games in Buffalo too.

holy poop, there are real leafs fans out in the wild!

if being drunk and obnoxiously cheering for your team is shocking to you i'd suggest never going to a live sporting event

Sens outshot 37-24 and get a point

Former HB sens blogger thinks there is something wrong with Ottawa

Travis Yost @TravisHeHateMe
Chris Neil isn't what's wrong with Ottawa. He's one of a lot of problems. Most every line gets killed. Not really a one player thing..

Sens might be in the Mcdavid hunt this season

Hi lighting, what the mean evil "Leaf fan" did to the innocent "sens fan".

You mean the sens fan that stirred the pot to get things going?

I did not write the article, but did hear the interview of the person who shot the video. It's quite clear who started what.

Point being every fanbase has the same percentage of a$$hole drunks, and ergo the largest fanbase in the NHL will have the largest total number of a$$hole drunks, and will be more visible when visiting opponents Arena's after a long bus ride getting primed for the away game.

The common thread in Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo and Detroit is that these a$$hole drunks are making the average sane fans, from the same fan-base look bad too.

My favourite part of attending games of my beloved Bruins is that the fans aren't picky about who they fight. They fight each other as well as the opposing teams fans. It's a glorious thing.

Seems pretty clear by your hi lighting who you are blaming for this. No one is innocent here. Not sure the article is all that acurate anyways, as it say the Leaf fans started an altercation with the female sens fan. I didn't see that in the video. Quite the opposite actually. The Leafs fans isn't paying any attention to the female sens fan, he's engaged with the guy he ends up going down the stairs with.

What interview? What did they say??

Hey if you want to stick up for rowdy drunk fans, who do not represent the whole fan-base then there is no way you're going to believe anything I say, or any articles and video that support what I say, and what others here have posted about what happens in other Arena when they rowdy drunks go there.

It's quite obvious what the common thread is here, and of course it take two to tangle, and no one is assigning 100% blame in one direction, but there is a clear indication where most of these rowdy drunks are coming from and which team they seem to think they're supporting.

Side with them if you must.

No?

The article says that the leafs fan was engaged with female sens fan, but yet the video shows him with his back to her the whole time.

You're missing the point. I haven't supported anything..... All I've said is that one isn't to blame here. I said they acted like asses, and made fools of themselves, but it wasn't just them.... As you seem to want to make it out to be. Leave it to you to claim that someone is supporting something when they haven't done so, and all the while try to make someone who isn't look innocent.

And it does not matter which sweater/jersey they wear.

Clearly there has to be more restrictions to who gets served beer when they clearly have already had too much, whether it's when they enter the Arena or at anytime during the game.

Every time the habs play in Ottawa, I'm shocked at the number of Habs fans at the games, in the lower bowl, and how loud they are.

Kind of makes you wonder. If Sens fans are so insecure about rival fans cheering in their own building, and start fights over it, why don’t they support their team. If they actually bought their own tickets, they wouldn’t have to deal with rival fans. Until that point, they need to stop starting fights. Patrons who have paid for a ticket have the right to cheer for and against any team they like.

I think Sens fans are selling their tickets for profit when the Leafs are in town. There's not really any way to stop that from happening.

Same thing in buffalo, sell their leaf game tickets at huge profits and it covers the rest of their season tickets. Give up 4 games and they essentially get 38games for free.

If there is a large group of ticket holders that have no interest in going to the game, and just want to make a few bucks instead, the small portion of Sens fans remaining that are interested in going to see the Sens should not be getting so insecure and starting fights with Leaf fans (like the video), or beating up on women with rival jerseys. Their issue really should be with the rest of Sens fans, who won’t go to Sens games. I assume there are enough of them to fill the building. Why don’t they?
